Although group tryouts for Cheer-Force are over, it's not to late to join our program.
If you'd still like to be an All-Star, we can do a private evaluation.
Here are some things that make for a good All-Star-
Good motion technique. Go to the links near the top of the page to print, learn and practice the cheer moves.
Awesome Jumps. Every cheerleader should know how to do a Toe Touch, Front Hurkie and Pike. See our CHEER JUMPS link to learn them.
A great smile. We want to see your biggest smile!!! You should have fun when your cheering and it's important to show it to us when you perform.
G-Force Spirit!!! Be proud of your squad, but most of all…be proud to show us who you are and what you can do!!!
The Cheer-Force colors are Red White & Black- so SHOW US YOUR SPIRIT!!! Please come dressed in appropriate clothing to dance and tumble in. Shorts, cheer skirts, t- shirts or tanks with sneakers and hair pulled back away from your face. You'll get extra points if you show up in G-Force colors.
Our Cheer-Force program is open to Boys and Girls ages 6-18 (as of 5-31-09). No formal training is necessary, but any
dance, cheer or tumbling experience is good to have. Our Squads are formed by age and ability according to the
United States
All-Star Federation (USASF) Guidelines.

CHEER-FORCE TEAM & CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
ALL-STARS (Competitive Team) 6 & up
This is a highly competitive All-Star cheer program. During our season we attend one-two competitions a month.
Our squads follow the USASF age & level grid and are ranked as level 1,2,3 and up.
We may have mini, youth, junior or senior squads depending on the ages and ability of our squad members.
Competitive teams practice 6-7.5 hours per week. During the competition season our practice time is spent perfecting our
routine which is set to 2 1/2 minutes of fast-paced music. It consists of dance, jumps, tumbling, stunting, and an incredible
amount of performing. It's fun and thrilling to watch. In the off-season, we emphasize tumbling, flexibility, stunt and pyramid
building, proper dance and jump technique, team building and conditioning the cheerleaders so they can perform at their best
during the season. See our CLASS SCHEDULE.
In addition to our Cheer-Force coaches, gymnastics staff and in-house choreographers, we have many experienced tumbling
coaches that have a combined 50+ years of experience coaching recreational through elite gymnasts and cheerleaders.
Many of them are currently working with high school cheerleaders from all over Albuquerque.
During the summer we have a tumbling coach with us every practice. Most coaches are available for private lessons.
As of August 1st 2009, any All-Star squad members that can not execute a back-handspring by themselves
on the spring floor are required to attend a tumbling class in addition to their normal practices until they can do that skill.
Once they get it, they can drop the class.
CHEER-FORCE 2 (C-2) 6 & up
This is a non-competitive performing squad. They meet twice a week for 1-1.5 hours each time. They'll learn a short
routine that incorporates dance, basic tumbling, simple stunting and jumps. During the year they may perform at basketball
games, parades, festivals, etc. This is a great stepping-stone for any child who wants to eventually be on an All-Star squad.
See our CLASS SCHEDULE.
CHEER-FORCE 1 (C-1) 6 & up
This non-competitive class focuses on teaching the basics of cheerleading. We emphasize flexibility, proper motion
technique, jumps, basic stunting, and having FUN!!!! This is a great class to begin your G-Force Cheer-Force experience!!
See our CLASS SCHEDULE.
All of our classes spend time utilizing our two spring gymnastics floors (40' x 45' - 6.5 panels & 42' x 48' - 8 panels)
They'll work on our 8' x 40' Palmer spring tumble strip and 6' x 40' rod tumble floor, both of which tumble into our pit.
They'll also use our trampoline and 35' long Tumble Track which is an awesome tool to teach tumbling. One of the most
important features is that an athlete can perform 40 or more repetitions with minimal fatigue and they can prevent repetitive
use injuries while mastering a skill.
C-1 & C-2 are always encouraged to take tumbling and/or any G-1/G-2 classes in addition to their Cheer-Force classes.
These additional classes help the young athlete increase their flexibility, gain coordination and strength, and improve
their tumbling skills. Taking additional classes or private lessons will ensure the fastest progression onto an All-Star squad.
